Consumer health data privacy policy

Your health-related information.

This notice explains how stillUp handles consumer health data in its community service.

Categories we collect and why

Messages, profiles, photos, reports, and support emails may contain information you or another person provides about menopause, symptoms, sleep, treatment, medications, reproductive health, or physical or mental health. You may optionally select a menopause stage to share on your profile card with authorized members. You can change it or remove it by choosing “Prefer not to share” and saving your profile. Account identifiers and community activity, such as membership in a health-related room, may connect that information to you or indicate a health-related interest.

We use this information to provide the conversations, profiles, rooms, history, support, and safety features you request, and to investigate reports and moderate the community. Automated checks of room text for certain phrases can generate an author-only support-resource note. The matching result and note can indicate a health-related concern; they are not a diagnosis.

Sources

We receive this information from content you provide, from other members when they communicate with or report information about you, and from your activity in the service. We generate support-resource notes through the room-text checks described above.

Categories shared and recipients

Health-related content and associated identifiers are available to the recipients of your direct messages, or to active members who can view the rooms where you post. Profile information is available through authorized community features. Administrators can review room content and reports, including health-related text explicitly submitted with a report. The backend can read content; messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

Amazon Web Services processes stored content and related account information to operate the service. Email providers, including the Gmail service used for our support mailbox, process health-related content if it is included in support correspondence. Authentication and notification providers process the identifiers and technical information needed to sign you in or deliver generic alerts; push notifications do not include message text. These services may learn that you use stillUp. We may disclose relevant information when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

We do not sell or rent member data, use it for targeted advertising, or send member content to outside analytics or AI services. No corporate-affiliate sharing is part of the current service's data flows.

Exercising your rights

You can ask whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data about you; request access to it and information about recipients; withdraw consent for future collection or sharing; or request deletion. Contact admin@stillupapp.com. You do not need to create an account to make a request. For complete account deletion, you can also use the in-app deletion flow.

We take reasonable steps to verify your request and may ask only for information needed for that purpose. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or unnecessary medical details by email. We respond within the time required by applicable law, notify you of any permitted extension and its reason, and coordinate applicable deletion requests with service providers and other recipients as required.

If we decline a request, we explain why. You can appeal by replying to our response or emailing the same address with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. We will review the decision and explain the result and any further complaint options available under applicable law. You may also contact your state attorney general; Washington residents can use the Washington Attorney General's complaint process.
